Video: Advances in Surgical Robots

Surgical robots have enhanced minimally-invasive surgery, reducing patient trauma and speeding up recovery. More and more hospitals, are therefore, investing in robotic systems for surgery and telemedicine that increase their patient capacity and geographic reach. In this video filmed at ASME’s Advanced Design and Manufacturing Impact Forum 2014, Dr. Venkat Krovi, ‎associate professor, mechanical and aerospace engineering, University of Buffalo, discusses the advances in surgical robots and their future outlook.
