Norman P. Moreau, P.E., CSQE, CQA, ASME Fellow, CEO and Chief Instructor for Theseus Professional Services, LLC, has over 30 years of experience in quality management, project management, engineering, and organizational administration. He has been a member of the ASME since 1982, and since 1990, has been an active participant on the ASME NQA-1 Committee on Nuclear Quality Assurance. Mr. Moreau’s significant contributions have been in the areas QA for computer software, records management, and commercial grade dedication. He has been on the Main Committee since 2002, and from 2004 to 2008 he served as the Vice Chair of Subcommittee on Engineering and Procurement Processes. In 2008 he was elected to lead the newly formed Subcommittee on Software Quality Assurance. From 2014 to 2017 served as Main Committee Vice-Chair and Executive Committee Chair.
Mr. Moreau’s nuclear experience includes working as a quality engineer, quality manager, and project manager at several NRC and DOE nuclear facilities, and various vendors within the nuclear supply chain. Representative projects include USQ program implementation, training, and support; successful NQA-1 implementations that include a construction company, testing lab, rebar splicing manufacturer, and two process control system fabricators; software QA program implementation and audits; and software dedications that lead to passing regulatory and industry audits. He is a registered professional engineer and holds a bachelor‘s degree in mechanical engineering and a master’s degree in software engineering administration. Mr. Moreau has been a certified NQA-1 Lead Auditor since 1989 and a certified (retired) ISO 9001 lead auditor since 1996.
David Morley has over thirty years of technical experience as a lead auditor, inspector, supervisor, and manager in Quality Assurance / Quality Control / Quality Engineering in the nuclear, and petrochemical industries during construction, start-up, operations, maintenance, modification phases of plant activities and decommissioning. Mr. Morley is a member of a NQA-1 Subcommittee, certified as a Lead Auditor to ASME NQA-1, ISO-9001:2008, ANSI N45.2.23 and ANSI-N45.2.6. Level III.
Mr. Morley has extensive experience with NRC, DOE, and DOD quality program requirements. He has developed numerous quality management systems and performed all functions of supplier audits and surveillance activities.
Ron C. Schrotke, Jr., is the Principal and Owner of Ron Schrotke, LLC. Mr. Schrotke is a retired Senior Quality Assurance Project Professional and Engineer from the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, Operated by Battelle. Mr. Schrotke has been involved in the development of Quality Assurance program development (e.g., company Quality Assurance Manuals and Procedures) and in the development of Quality Assurance Standards and requirements (for hardware and software activities) since 1986, both in the research and manufacturing sectors. In addition, Mr. Schrotke has been involved in software and the application of software quality assurance Standards and practices for more than 30 years.
Mr. Schrotke’s understanding of Quality Assurance requirements has aided organizations across the country, and internationally. Mr. Schrotke has supported the efforts and development of ASME NQA-1 for more than 30 years and served as an NQA-1 Subcommittee Chair for many years, and as a Vice-Chair of the Main Committee for three years and served as the Chair of the NQA-1 Main Committee for six years. Mr. Schrotke recently reprised his role as Chair of the NQA-1 Main Committee (July 2017 - July 2020). Additionally, he serves on the ASME Board of Nuclear Codes and Standards (BNCS). He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, with a Minor in Mathematics.
