Self Study and Guided Study Courses

Refunds or substitutions will not be issued once the learning path, course, or materials have been accessed.

Virtual Classroom Courses

ASME's Cancellation

ASME retains the right to cancel a course up until and including 4 calendar days prior to the start of the course. If ASME cancels, we will notify you via the email address and/or the phone number on record as soon as the cancellation decision is made, so please be sure your ASME profile is up to date. You will be given the choice to transfer to another course, keep the credit on file, or request a full refund.

Customer's Cancellation

If you cancel your attendance to a Virtual Classroom course, immediate notification to ASME Customer Care Team is required. Below are ASME’s policies relative to the calendar days prior to the start of your course:

  • Days 14+: If you cancel 14 days, or greater, than the start date of your course, you may receive a full refund.
  • Days 7-13: If you cancel within the period of days 7-13 prior to the start of the course, no refunds will be provided, however, credit equal to the exact original purchase amount will be provided. The customer bears the responsibility to contact ASME’s customer care team to re-enroll in a new course to use the credit on file. The credit must be used within 90 days or it is forfeited.
  • Days 0-6: If you cancel six business or less days prior to the start of the course, or fail to attend the course, you will not receive a refund or credit.
