Advanced Energy Manufacturing and Recycling Grant Program Launched

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) recently opened applications for a new Advanced Energy Manufacturing and Recycling Grant Program. The first funding opportunity will invest $350 million in small- and medium-sized manufacturers that produce or recycle advanced energy products in energy communities.
 
The new program is designed to provide grants to small- and medium-sized manufacturers to enable them to build new or retrofit existing manufacturing and industrial facilities to produce or recycle advanced energy products in communities where coal mines or coal power plants have closed. Concept papers are required and are due on March 14, 2023 at 5 p.m. ET, with full applications due on June 8, 2023 at 5 p.m. ET.
