Registration Open for Turbo Expo 2020

The ASME Turbomachinery Technical Conference & Exposition (Turbo Expo 2020) — the Society’s premier turbomachinery technical event — will take place from June 22-26 at the ExCeL London Convention Center in London, United Kingdom. Attendees who sign up for Turbo Expo by April 17 will receive up to $100 off the regular price of conference registration.

Turbo Expo, which is presented by the ASME International Gas Turbine Institute, is recognized as a must-attend event for professionals working in the gas turbine industry who are interested in learning about the latest advances in turbine technology, research and development, and applications. For the past 65 years, Turbo Expo has been bringing more than 2,800 experts from across the globe to participate in a wealth of educational and networking opportunities.

With invited speakers from diverse industrial areas, ASME Turbo Expo 2020 will provide a unique venue for members from the power and propulsion community to listen and learn from industry leaders who will discuss how new technologies and ways of working are key components for adeptly meeting future market challenges.

Turbo Expo 2020, which will address the theme “Responding to Market Transformation — Let’s Learn from Others!”, will feature technical sessions, panel discussions, tutorials and user-focused sessions covering a wide range of topics including gas turbines, steam turbines, and wind turbines; fans and blowers; Rankine cycle; and supercritical CO2. The conference will also feature an exhibition hall showcasing the latest technologies and services that are helping to shape the future of the turbomachinery industry.

ASME is offering a variety of registration options for Turbo Expo 2020. Take advantage of the advance registration discounted rate as the deadline is April 17. For more information on registration click here.

Turbo Expo is also offering six hands-on pre-conference workshops on turbomachinery-related topics just before the start of Turbo Expo 2020. The pre-conference workshops, which will be on June 21 at the ExCeL London Convention Center, will offer an in-depth look at various subjects related to the transformational change currently being felt within the power and propulsion industry.

Workshop topics will include “Physics-Based Modeling of Gas Turbine Secondary Air Systems,” “Advanced Diagnostics: New Surface Temperature Mapping Techniques for Turbo Machinery,” “Gas Turbine Engine Aerothermodynamics and Performance Calculations,” “Primer on Gas Turbine Power Augmentation Technologies,” “Additive Manufacturing Simulation” and “Materials Selection and Sustainability for Aerospace: Turbochargers.”

The deadline to register for the workshops (not included in Turbo Expo registration) is March 23. The cost of registration is $500 per workshop. To learn more about the workshops, or to register, visit https://event.asme.org/Turbo-Expo/Program-(1)/Workshops.
