Applications Now Open for the 2027-2028 ECLIPSE Program

Early career engineers can gain mentorship, leadership experience, and direct involvement in ASME initiatives.
Applications are now open for ASME's ECLIPSE Program, a leadership development opportunity designed to help early career engineers build the skills, experience, and connections needed to become future leaders in ASME and the engineering profession.

ECLIPSE provides participants with direct exposure to ASME's volunteer leadership community through mentorship, volunteer service, networking, and participation in Society-level initiatives. Throughout the program, participants work alongside experienced volunteer leaders while developing leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills that complement their technical careers.

Participants have opportunities to contribute to ASME divisions, sections, boards, and committees, work on a collaborative project presented to the ASME Board of Governors, attend leadership events, and receive specialized leadership training.

The program is open to early career ASME members who:
•    Have at least three years of professional or postgraduate experience
•    Are under age 35 or within 10 years of completing a bachelor's degree
•    Demonstrate a commitment to volunteerism, leadership development, and professional growth

Applications will remain open through February 1, with candidates notified of decisions by the end of March.
