Video: Nathan H. Hurt: Honorary Membership Recipient
Nathan H. Hurt's 64-year career was sparked by modifying engines for hot rods and led to 40 years with Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co., where he worked in design, construction, and operation of chemical plants, finally becoming president and general manager of Goodyear Atomic Corp. After retiring from Goodyear, he joined Los Alamos Technical Associates and later joined IDM Environmental Corp. where he was responsible for decontamination and decommissioning of facility projects at several U.S. Department of Energy sites.
He is now a senior consultant to companies with DOE contracts. An ASME fellow, he is a former member of the Board of Governors and a past president. He is a member of the American Nuclear Society and the American Society for Engineering Management. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado, Boulder (CU).
