Video: 2012 Engineers Week: Introduction

ASME and Engineers Without Borders (EWB) have some new tools to help you connect with local area teachers and pre-college students and generate excitement about the engineering profession.

This video introduction provides an overview of what young engineers have initiated through three Engineers Without Borders (EWB) projects. EWB projects that provide engineering solutions to community challenges provide an exciting way for engineers to introduce engineering concepts, such as Humanitarian Engineering.

The video training modules, a companion piece to classroom activities, are a creative way to show young people that engineering can be a fulfilling career and will help attract a larger pool of individuals from an array of diverse backgrounds - such as women and underrepresented minorities – into the engineering field.
