Virtual Classroom Courses
ASME’s Cancellation of a Virtual Classroom Course
ASME retains the right to cancel a course up until and including 4 calendar days prior to the start of the course. If ASME cancels, the customer can transfer to another course, keep the credit on file, or request a full refund. Credits from ASME’s cancellation of a course are good for 90 days upon receipt.
Customer’s Cancellation of a Virtual Classroom Course
If you cancel your attendance to a Virtual Classroom course, immediate notification to ASME Customer Support Group is required. Below are ASME’s policies relative to the calendar days prior to the start of your course:
- Days 14+: If you cancel 14 days, or greater, than the start date of your course, you may receive a full refund. Refunds may take up to 10 business days to process.
- Days 13-7: If you cancel within the period of days 13-7 prior to the start of the course, no refunds will be provided, however, credit equal to the exact original purchase amount will be provided. The customer bears the responsibility to contact ASME’s customer support group to re-enroll in a new course to use the credit on file. The credit must be used within 90 days or it is forfeited.
- Days 6-0: If you cancel six business or less days prior to the start of the course, or fail to attend the course, you will not receive a refund or credit.
In Person Courses
If, for any reason you should not be able to attend, ASME will give you a complete refund up to 21 days prior to the start date of the course. Cancellations made less than 21 days before the first day of the course forfeit the full course fee. Substitutions are welcome. All cancellations must be received via email to CustomerCare@asme.org. Applicable refunds will be made in the same manner as the original payment was received. ASME retains the right to cancel a course until 3 weeks prior to the scheduled presentation date.
Self Study and Guided Study Courses
Refunds or substitutions will not be issued once the course, learning path, or course materials have been accessed.
Free for Members
L&D is constantly rotating and adding new no-cost-for-members courses. Sorry, refunds from prior purchases will not be processed.
Price Adjustments
Purchases made may be eligible for a price adjustment credit if the purchase was made within 30 days prior to the change in price. Credits may take up to 10 business days to process and are valid for 30 days upon receipt.
Purchase Orders
Purchase Orders are accepted for orders that exceed $5,000 USD. For qualifying Purchase Orders please contact Patrick Taft, Account Executive, at TaftP@asme.org.
