New Science and Technology Committee Leadership Announced
The opening weeks of the 118th Congress have begun laying the groundwork for what promises to be an ambitious and exciting science and technology agenda for the year ahead. ASME Government Relations looks forward to working with these new leaders in the U.S. House of Representatives to advance science and technology policies in 2023.
In mid-January, members of the U.S. House of Representatives were appointed to serve in leadership roles on the following committees of particular relevance to the ASME community:
House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology

Ranking Member: Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D-Calif.)
House Committee on Appropriations
Chair: Rep. Kay Granger (R-Texas)
Ranking Member: Rep. Rosa DeLauro (D-Conn.)
House Committee on Energy and Commerce
Chair: Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-Wash.)
Ranking Member: Rep. Frank Pallone (D-NJ)
House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee
Chair: Rep. Sam Graves (R-Mo.)
Ranking Member: Rep. Rick Larsen (D-Wa.)
House Committee on Natural Resources
Chair: Rep. Bruce Westerman (R-Ark.)
Ranking Member: Rep. Raul Grijalva (D-Ariz.)
