In Case You Missed It: ASME 2020-2021 Congressional Fellowship Applications Now Being Accepted! Opportunities Available in Energy and Manufacturing

ASME is currently accepting applications for the 2020-2021 ASME Congressional Fellowships. Qualified candidates with strong backgrounds in the energy or advanced manufacturing sector are encouraged to apply. Fellows serve as independent, non-biased advisors in engineering, science, and technology policy, bringing a nonpartisan, pragmatic approach to governing that has a profound impact on the policy-making process.

ASME Federal Government Fellowships are a life-changing experience, resulting in new professional qualifications and providing Fellows with the satisfaction of having served the public good at the highest levels. ASME Federal Government Fellows have served in the Executive and Legislative branches of the U.S. Government for the past 46 years, applying their engineering expertise to complex policy issues. Through an ASME Congressional Fellowship, ASME Members have the opportunity to offer insight that results is effective and technologically appropriate public policy based on sound engineering principles. Since 1973, ASME has sponsored over 100 Federal Fellows.

If offered a Fellowship, ASME Congressional Fellows will relocate to Washington, DC and receive a stipend of $80K to serve for one-year in the U.S. House of Representative or the U.S. Senate. The deadline to apply is January 31, 2020.
