Artemis I Mega Moon Rocket Launch is Delayed

The dates for NASA’s cryogenic demonstration test and the anticipated launch of the Artemis I mega moon rocket have been adjusted to give the space agency more time to prepare. The cryogenic demonstration test is now scheduled for no later than September 21, with the launch opportunity requested for September 27 and a back-up date of October 2. NASA and Space-X also are targeting October 3 as a launch date for the Crew-5 mission to the International Space Station. Space-based engineering is one of ASME’s primary interest areas.
