ASME to Bring Bioengineering, Robotics and Additive Manufacturing Expertise to Annual LiveWorx Digital Transformation Event

NEW YORK (April 10, 2019) —The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) will present the Life Sciences Track at LiveWorx®, the definitive event for digital transformation, on June 10-13 at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center. In addition, presenters from ASME’s network of technical engineering experts will lead four training courses at LiveWorx, including:

  • Additive Manufacturing: Leveraging Design for Maximum Performance
  • Transforming Medicine: Modeling, Simulation and the Digital Twin
  • How Robotics Brings Digital Twins to Life (Panel Discussion)
  • Additive Manufacturing: Design for Digital Thread

“The global business landscape is evolving at breakneck speed. Those who want to stay ahead of the curve need to understand how digital transformation is impacting their respective fields,” says ASME Executive Director/CEO Tom Costabile. “ASME’s technical expertise in additive manufacturing, robotics and bioengineering pairs well with the LiveWorx event platform to bring valuable professional development to our communities.”

The Life Sciences Track presented by ASME is one of a dozen content tracks at this year’s LiveWorx event, which will bring together thought leaders presenting innovative business strategies, expert panel discussions on industry hot topics, and real-life use cases on technology implementations. The Life Sciences Track will cover trending topics, including 3D printing/additive manufacturing, digital twin/digital thread, and smart, connected product design in the internet of medical things.

More than 6,500 technology professionals from manufacturing, aerospace and defense, electronics and high technology, life sciences, and industrial products businesses are expected to participate on-site and thousands more will livestream the event.

LiveWorx is the definitive event for digital transformation and marketplace for solutions engineered for the new era of industrial innovation. The four-day event features hundreds of breakout sessions, Track Spotlight presentations, and powerful Keynote speakers set in an immersive, interactive technology playground. This year’s theme, “Augmented Workforce: Taking Human Capabilities to New Heights” places a strong focus on providing the expected 6,500+ attendees with a personalized, connected journey that shows how people are complemented by technology rather than replaced by it.
