Abstract Deadline Approaching for IMECE 2020

There is still time to submit an abstract for the ASME 2020 International Mechanical Engineering Congress and Exposition (IMECE 2020), which will take place from Nov. 15-19 in Portland, Ore. If you’re interested in presenting a full paper at the event, the deadline to submit an abstract is March 16.

IMECE is ASME’s largest research and development conference focused primarily on mechanical engineering, but encompassing perspectives from many engineering disciplines. It’s the perfect place for engineers to present their technical research and expertise and for them to meet and network with thousands of their research colleagues from around the world.

IMECE attendees will have the opportunity to learn first-hand about the latest innovation in research — from basic discovery to new applications and approaches — directly from their peers. Each year, IMECE attracts a wide audience that includes not only researchers from academia, but also from industry, national laboratories, and government funding entities. With such a diverse group of participants, IMECE is a unique event that provides attendees with broad yet relevant perspectives and knowledge-sharing on technical advances within the mechanical engineering field.

This year, IMECE’s technical program will feature 17 tracks addressing a wide range of engineering topics including acoustics, vibration and phononics; advanced manufacturing; energy; biomedical and biotechnology; advances in aerospace technology; design, systems and complexity; engineering education; safety engineering, risk and reliability analysis; fluids engineering; heat transfer and thermal engineering; dynamics, vibration and control; micro- and nanosystems engineering and packaging; mechanics of solids, structures and fluids; and advanced materials: design, processing characterization and applications.

Abstracts are also being accepted for three poster tracks at IMECE 2020: the ASME International Undergraduate Research and Design Expo, the National Science Foundation (NSF) Student Competition, and the Research Posters track.

To be chosen as a presenter at IMECE 2020, authors must submit their paper abstracts online at https://imece.secure-platform.com by March 16. They will be notified by March 30 if their abstracts are accepted. Once notified, authors have until May 11 to submit their full-length manuscripts.
