Standards & Certification Present at the Asia Pacific ASME E-Fest

From February 28 through March 1, 2020, ASME E-Fest Asia Pacific was held at the Marwadi University in Rajkot, Gujarat, India.  At the event, Carlton R. Ramcharran, S&C Project Engineering Advisor, made a presentation to the attendees covering an overview of Standards & Certification (S&C), the importance of S&C in the world of engineering, and how standards are developed. Mr. Ramcharran highlighted to the students the impact and benefits of understanding standards as they transition from being a student to an early career engineer. 
 
ASME Engineering Festivals, or E-Fests, are events that are driven by engineering students that has gained force globally. At the events, students ignite innovation, build resumes, meet with potential employers, participate in stimulating competitions, and celebrate engineering.
