Humanoid robots are used  in a variety of applications, ranging from medical care, space exploration, and public relations. The Stratistics Market Research Consulting expected that the Global Humanoid Robot Market would reach $13 billion by 2026. This was before the outbreak of COVID-19.
 
Since then, the world has changed and industries are exploring the potential of humanoid robots as a method daily human-to-human interaction. The University of Surrey's School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, recently published in the International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management that service robots are anticipated to increase efficiency and productivity of hotel activities. The role of humanoid robots, as way of automating human interactions, can be useful in a world of social distancing.
