    Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and Mixed Reality (MR) technologies are transforming biomedical engineering by enabling immersive visualization, intelligent clinical decision support, and advanced human–machine interaction. Recent advances in artificial intelligence, biomedical imaging, wearable sensing, digital twins, haptic technologies, and networked XR systems have accelerated the translation of engineering innovations into clinical practice.

    This Special Issue focuses on cutting-edge research integrating immersive technologies with medical diagnostics, therapeutic systems, intelligent sensing, computational modeling, biomechanics, and clinical decision support. Original contributions on novel engineering methodologies, medical devices, AI-enabled diagnostic frameworks, rehabilitation systems, surgical navigation, telemedicine, and translational healthcare applications are particularly encouraged. The issue aims to promote interdisciplinary collaboration between engineering, medicine, and clinical sciences to advance next-generation healthcare technologies.
