Patrick Cooper, P.E.

Patrick Cooper, P.E., has over 40 years of energy industry experience managing major projects and specializing in rotating equipment.  He held lead project engineering and design roles on several mega onshore and offshore energy projects in North America.  Projects included the design and installation of offshore floating production facilities along with onshore heavy oil facilities.  His career has included providing technical support for the design, installation, operation and maintenance of process rotating equipment within a variety of energy industries.  He continues to provide consulting services for identifying and implementing plant reliability improvement projects along with developing and delivering technical training courses.
 
Patrick brings his knowledge and experience of bolted joints to the classroom to share design, assembling and maintenance practices for process piping and mechanical/machinery structures as it applies across various industries.  He has been a member of ASME since receiving his mechanical engineering degree from the University of Louisiana Lafayette.  He has been a college adjunct instructor and member of the ULL mechanical engineering Industry Advisory Board advising university staff on research and curriculum to address industry technical needs.
