John Henderson is an independent engineering consultant, based in Calgary, Alberta, bringing more than 45 years of specialized experience to his practice. A recognized Subject Matter Expert in the design, application, operation, and troubleshooting of rotating equipment, he has worked across the industry for owners, engineering contractors, and manufacturers—giving him a well-rounded perspective on the business from every angle.
In addition to his engineering consulting work, John has hands-on operations and maintenance experience in a world class petrochemical facility, as well as background in legal and forensic analysis. He has been teaching technical courses for over 30 years and continues to share his expertise with professionals worldwide.
John is a founding member (since 2004) and current contributor to the Calgary Pump Symposium and previously served as an invited member of the API 612 5th Edition committee. Outside of work, he enjoys the occasional round of golf.
