As the 3D printing market continues to skyrocket, where will the maximum growth be in the next five years? “We are seeing a lot of R&D, investment and technology adoption in aerospace, medical, dental, and some consumer products,” says Terry Wohlers, the president of Wohlers Associates, Inc., in conversation with Chitra Sethi, managing editor of ASME.org. “As 3D printers become much faster and reliable, materials become less expensive, and as standards are developed and implemented,” Wohlers is excited about watching the automotive industry embrace 3D printing and adopt it for actual production.
