ASME United Kingdom Section: Project Management: Methodologies and Tools

Join the UK Section for a virtual workshop on 28 November. The workshop briefly introduces the fundamental principles of project management, life cycles and the main elements for successful outcome. It mainly focuses on the different methodologies and their suitability for various types of projects. The workshop also illustrates a number of PM tools available in the market. Presenter: Dr. Alaa Alani MIET CEng, Principal Engineering Consultant, Sondrel Ltd. Dr. Alaa Alani is a principal engineering consultant working in the field of semiconductors. He holds a BSc in Control & Systems, University of Technology, Baghdad; and a PhD in Digital Systems Testing from Brunel University, UK. He is a member of The Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) and a Chartered engineer since 1994. He published numerous papers in international conferences and journals. He also holds two international patents on Integrated Circuits Testing registered in the USA. Dr. Alani worked as a research fellow at Brunel University then worked at LSI Logic and Imagination Technologies. He is currently a Principal Engineering Consultant at Sondrel Ltd., and a director of LITE Technology Limited – a UK-based private company specialised in engineering training and technology transfer. Dr. Alani was a member of the executive committee and a chairman of Alkindi Society of Engineers for the period 2005-2011 and 2017-2020.
