Join the ASME Metro Detroit Section for a virtual presentation via Zoom. Learn the most effective ways to manage risk in the industrial arena and how to plan and organize at the beginning of programs to anticipate risk and minimize the impact of unforeseen circumstances. This will be done through a review of some real world case studies - the lessons gained from the past and best practices to use as we move through the current environment. Carol Przepiora Program Manager, Vehicle Line Manufacturing Truck Segment, Stellantis (Formerly FCA) will be giving the presentation. Carol has worked in manufacturing engineering & operations management for over 24 years. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering from Kettering University and an MBA from the University of Phoenix. Topics for this presentation include: (1) What is Risk Management?; (2) 6 Steps of Risk Management (Project Management Institute Standard); (3) Real World Case of Effective Risk Management; (4) An automotive launch program issue successfully resolved; (5) Real World Case of Unforeseen Risk; and (6) The impact of Covid 19 mandatory shutdowns and the activities required to get the project back on track: How NOT planning for this risk initially impacted the program, and how it was brought back on track. PDH credits available. We hope you can attend!
