The concepts of manufacturing need to change in order to keep up with the demands of global competition, customer preferences, and need for agility in adapting to rapidly changing trends. This requires a new way of designing and implementing manufacturing operations that involves tradeoffs between cost and benefit to provide successful long term business models. It includes acknowledging and addressing increasing customer sensitivity to the quality of the products and services that we provide. This presentation will explore the concepts and frame work of Quality 4.0 and if, or how, it can help us in addressing some of these challenges. The possible benefits or impact of Quality 4.0 and Industry 4.0 will be reviewed. What Will Be Covered: - We will discuss the relationship between Quality 4.0 and Industry 4.0. - What aspects of manufacturing are relevant to both initiatives and which ones are separate? - We will see how Quality 4.0 and Industry 4.0 can be integrated into a comprehensive plan for improvement.
