Editors Appointed for Eight ASME Journals

Seven new editors — including editors for three new journals set for release in 2015 — have joined the ASME Journal program. In addition, an eighth editor has been reappointed.

The new appointments include Igor Pioro, PhD, editor of the Journal of Nuclear Engineering and Radiation Science, which will launch in January 2015; Prof. Bilal Ayyub, PhD, editor of the ASCE-ASME Journal of Risk Uncertainty in Engineering Systems Part B: Mechanical Engineering, also debuting in January; and Ashley Emery, PhD, editor of the Journal of Verification, Validation and Uncertainty Quantification, to be released during the first half of 2015.

Four other editors were also selected to begin their first term as journal editors: Joseph Beaman, PhD, the Journal of Dynamic Systems, Measurement and Control; Vijay Kumar, PhD, the Journal of Mechanisms and Robotics; Y.C. Lee, PhD, the Journal of Electronic Packaging; and Steve Shen, PhD, the Journal of Vibration and Acoustics.

Malcom Andrews, PhD, has been reappointed for a second term as the editor for the Journal of Fluids Engineering.
