Susan S. Margulies Leadership in Bioengineering Medal
The Susan S. Margulies Leadership in Bioengineering Medal recognizes an individual who has demonstrated a sustained level of outstanding and impactful achievements and leadership advocating bioengineering.
Nominated individuals can have diverse career paths including but not limited to academia, industry, government, and/or philanthropic foundations. Examples of meritorious activity may be pioneering advocating leadership at the regional, national, and/or international levels for promoting bioengineering, inspirational leadership of the bioengineering field, and pioneering products, regulations, processes impacting the medical field and healthcare.
In addition, successful nominees will have demonstrated significant service to the bioengineering community, in general, and with a strong connection to the Bioengineering Division of ASME.
The award was established by the Bioengineering Division in 2026.
