For the June 2020 interviews, we will be implementing a new Candidate Application with a series of staggered deadlines. The table below will provide you with the deliverable items and their due dates.

  • Email reminder to all candidates to complete and submit the candidate questions and all supporting documents by April 15, 2020

  • Up to 4 letters of Support
  • All items listed on January 15 and February 1 due
May 7, 2020
  • Presidential and BOG candidate briefing.
June 15, 2020
  • Board of Governor in person interviews in Boston, MA
June 16, 2020
  • President in person interviews in Boston, MA.
  • Selected Nominees announced at Presidents Dinner

Annual Meeting Information

The 2020 ASME Annual Meeting, where candidates will be interviewed and selected, will be June 12-17, 2020 in Boston, Massachusetts.  The Nominating Committee will meet from June 14 – 16, 2020.

President

3-year commitment
1 position

By tradition, the President is the senior volunteer public spokesperson for ASME, in conjunction with the ASME Executive Director/CEO, representing ASME in both ceremonial and substantive roles in public forums and in interactions with other organizations. Board of Governors

4-year commitment
3 positions

The affairs of the Society shall be managed by a Board of Governors (BOG) chosen from its membership which shall have full control of the activities of the Society, subject to the limitations of the Constitution and By-Laws, Society Policies and the laws of the State of New York.  Click here for a more detailed position description.
