Special Journal Issue on Applications of Micro and Nano-Manufacturing

The ASME Journal of Micro and Nano-Manufacturing is currently accepting manuscripts for this special issue from researchers developing micro- and nano-manufacturing (MNM) technologies for new, emerging applications and/or applying these technologies to enable the manufacture of new products.

This special issue provides an opportunity for the global MNM community to present original theoretical and applied research. Across numerous industries there is a continued desire and need to reduce size, weight, energy consumed and other parameters while increasing strength, conductivity, capacity and other capabilities in numerous manufacturing processes and products.

Manuscripts to be included in the special issue should concentrate on a range of topics including but not limited to:

  • Advances of MNM technologies
  • Unit micro- and nano-manufacturing processes
  • Hybrid manufacturing processes combining bottom-up and top-down processes
  • Hybrid manufacturing processes utilizing various energy sources (optical, mechanical, electrical, solar, etc.)
  • High-throughput micro- and nano-manufacturing processes
  • Large area processing with micro- and nano-scales feature resolution
  • Metrology at the micro- and nano-scales over large areas
  • In process inspection and process monitoring
  • Assembly of micro components
  • Process modelling and simulation
Manuscripts should be submitted electronically to the journal by May 30, 2023.
