Scott Steinbrink, Ph.D.

Associate Professor, Mechanical Engineering, Gannon University

Dr. Scott Steinbrink holds a Ph.D. in Engineering Mechanics from Virginia Tech, as well as Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Aerospace Engineering. He is currently an Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Gannon University, in Erie, PA. 

At Gannon, Dr. Steinbrink is responsible for undergraduate and graduate teaching in the areas of computational methods (including finite element analysis) and solid mechanics. In addition, he teaches undergraduate engineering design. 

Dr. Steinbrink has research interests in design, mechanics of composite materials, and finite element methods, particularly in application to high-pressure systems, and is active in research in the general field of Engineering Education.
