As part of its 3D printing initiative, SUNY New Paltz has opened the nation’s first MakerBot Innovation Center, which will be used by students, faculty, and local industries for rapid prototyping. The overall goal of SUNY's 3D printing initiative is to provide the skills and hands-on experience in 3D printing technology students will need for future careers. In this video, educators and students discuss how New Paltz is leveraging 3D printing to ignite STEM education and stimulate creative thinking.
