Save the Date for Two Upcoming NSF Meetings: WindSTAR IAB Meeting and Engineering Directorate Advisory Committee Meeting

The Industrial Advisory Board (IAB) for the WindSTAR Energy Program is scheduled to meet from February 3-4, 2021. WindSTAR’s goal is decrease cost and increase reliability at all stages of wind power plant development. The National Science Foundation (NSF) Directorate for Engineering will also be holding its twice-yearly Advisory Committee meeting early this spring on April 8, 2021. This meeting will be virtual and members of the public are welcome to sit in.

WindSTAR IAB Meeting: February 3-4, 2021
The NSF WindSTAR programs works to bring together leading research universities to develop high-impact solutions to key industry challenges. The program provides a platform for stakeholders to meet and work together on pre-competitive research through R&D investments and access to world class facilities.

NSF Directorate for Engineering Advisory Committee Meeting: April 8, 2021
The NSF Directorate for Engineering (ENG) promotes investments in engineering research and education to address national challenges, such as smart manufacturing, resilient infrastructure and sustainable energy systems. ENG has issued a series of Special Reports on topics of significant importance to the ASME community, including reports on robotics, clean water, neuroengineering, and advanced manufacturing, all of which can be viewed on the NSF website at: https://www.nsf.gov/eng/about.jsp.
