Awards

Five winners from each of the IAM3D Semi-finalist Challenges held in conjunction with regional E-Fest events will receive $1,000 USD based on the combined score of business case, technical, and presentation scores. Semi-finalists will be selected for:

Best Overall Design
Best Innovation
Best Re-engineered/Multidisciplinary Collaboratively Designed Product
Best Freshman Design
Best Verbal Presentation

At the IAM3D Final Challenge held at the August 2017 IDETC/CIE conference, five final award winners will be selected based on the combined score of business case, technical, and presentation scores. A Winning team/winner will be selected for

Best Freshman Design
Best Verbal Presentation
5 Faculty member advisors of the winning teams will enjoy a complimentary five year ASME

5 Faculty member advisors of the winning teams will enjoy a complimentary five year ASME membership ($735), AND a cash award of $2,000 USD each.

Acceptance of any award shall constitute and signify winner's agreement and consent that ASME may use the winner's name, city, state, likeness, photo, submission and/or award information in connection with any ASME IAM3D Challenge for promotional, advertising or other purposes, worldwide, in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, including the Internet, without limitation and without further payment, notification, permission or other consideration, except where prohibited by law.

Financial Guidelines
For All Awards: Winners are responsible for all taxes. Each winner will be required to provide ASME with his or her social security number OR complete W8BEN Form for tax purposes.
