Hosted by Ohio University
May 13 – 15, 2016
Distinguished by its rich history, diverse campus, international community, and beautiful Appalachian setting, Ohio University has been committed to providing the nation’s best transformative learning experience since it was founded in 1804. Nearly 39,000 students annually are educated on the residential campus in Athens and seven regional campuses, in 11 colleges.
Offering programs across the spectrum of engineering disciplines, and in technology disciplines of aviation, computer science, and engineering technology and management, the Russ College of Engineering and Technology educates meta-engineers, or professionals who go beyond the practical application of engineering and technology. Like all engineers and technologists, they're doers. But as meta-engineers and -technologists, they're even more: They're dreamers who want to use their knowledge, passion, and skills to make a positive impact on the world. We call that creating for good.
Home to the National Academy of Engineering’s Russ Prize -– the largest biomedical engineering prize in the world – and a record-breaking $124 million charitable gift from alumnus Fritz Russ, and his wife, Dolores, the Russ College is proud to welcome participants of the 2016 HPVC East to Athens, Ohio.
