Jan. 12, 2018

The L’Oréal USA For Women in Science fellowship program is now accepting applications from female postdoctoral students in the United States for one of five $60,000 grants that will be presented through the program this year. The deadline to apply for a 2018 L’Oréal USA For Women in Science fellowship grant is Feb. 2.

Now in its 14th year, the L’Oréal USA For Women in Science fellowship program annually recognizes five exceptional female postdoctoral scientists for their contributions in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) fields and their commitment to serving as role models for younger generations. Since 2003, 70 grants totaling more than $3.5 million have been awarded through the program, which is the U.S. branch of the L'Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science International Fellowships program.

Candidates will be considered from a variety of fields, including the life and physical/material sciences, technology (including computer science), engineering, and mathematics. Candidates must have completed their Ph.D. and have started in their postdoctoral position by the Feb. 2 application deadline to qualify for the fellowship.
