Deadline Nears for Student Hackathon

This is a unique virtual opportunity for students occurring just ahead of the virtual IDETC-CIE. The Hackathon will take place August 14-15, 2021, and is supported by the ASME Computers and Information in Engineering Division. Hackathon problems are proposed by: Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, New York University; System Integration Division, National Institute of Standards and Technology; and Future of Automation at Corporate Technology, Siemens Corporation.
 
Students will solve engineering problems addressing the theme, “Exploring the Power of Data and Cybersecurity for Mechanical Engineering.” This exciting virtual experience will enable students to learn, develop professionally, work with a team to solve problems and expand your network without leaving your desk.
 
Three sets of winning teams (one set for each problem) will share prizes for first, second and third place. Winners will be selected by a team of judges after presenting their solutions to the Hackathon problems. Visit the website for all the information.
 
Without the constraints of geography and travel, students will meet and network with an expanded audience of researchers, academics and mentors from around the world.
