ASME Launches New Podcast "Unconventional Engineering"

ASME officially announced the launch of its new podcast Unconventional Engineering, hosted by Emmy Award winning broadcast Roy Firestone and Tom Costabile, ASME’s Executive Director and CEO.

In Unconventional Engineering, Roy and Tom interview guests from across the world of mechanical engineering to interesting and unconventional ways they are using their skills to solve real world problems and advance engineering for the benefit of humanity. In the first episode, mechanical engineer Ian Davis of ACME Works Fab talks about his work developing prosthetic hands.

In later episodes, roboticist Hod Lipson wonders if robots can be creative and the producer and judge of Netflix’s Baking Impossible Andrew Smyth discusses how he is using baking to make engineering more accessible.
