Please join us for a professional development course on Steam, Heat, Burners, and Pumps. We are back to this venue – Round the Bend Steakhouse – after a wonderful turnout last Fall for the 2022 PD course. The event will be Thursday, March 23rd, 2023, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 pm followed by Social Hour. The course is available both in-person and virtual. The course will cover the following topics: Steam Water Hammer and Heat Exchanger Stall (Schimberg Company); Pump Demonstration/Training Trailer (Warren Rupp/Walling Company); Metering pumps, Hose pumps, Chlorine Generation (Prominent/Walling Company); Gas Trains and Combustion Burner Basics (Siemens/Walling Company); Fire Pump Systems - Fundamentals & Sizing (Pentair/Walling Company); Typical Day for an Engineer at TESLA (Sam Gibson, UNL Student Liaison); General Lessons Learned and Open Forum (Open Discussion). The course fee is $150 for ASME members and $175 for non-members. There is a discounted fee of $75 for retirees. Students (virtual or in person) are no charge. This fee includes course materials, PDH certificate, continental breakfast, lunch, and refreshments. Breakfast will be available starting at 7:30 a.m. and the course begins at 8:00 a.m. There will also be a Social Networking hour after the event.
