Join us virtually on February 9th for "The Changing US Power Grid" by Mike Lybarger, President of Total Valve Systems. With an extensive background in engineering, manufacturing and new business, and market development with both OEM and consumer products, Mike is the new President/Owner of Total Valve Systems in Broken Arrow. Previously he led RL Hudson as its President and Chief Operating Officer from 2006 to August 2008. Prior to that, he served as Vice President of Product Development and Engineering for Zebco, a division of W. C. Bradley Co., and before that, as a Director at GE Appliances, one of the core businesses of the General Electric Company. Throughout his career, Mike has had the opportunity to develop products that cross the spectrum from low- to high-tech, drawing on a number manufacturing processes and material technology systems. Mike brings a breadth of experience in engineering, product development and marketing, and supply chain management, coupled with a sound understanding of manufacturing and operational principles including Six Sigma, Lean, and Quality ISO systems. Mike holds his undergraduate degree in aeronautical engineering from The Ohio State University, and two master’s degrees: one in aerospace engineering from the University of Cincinnati and an MBA from Vanderbilt University. He holds eight individual or joint design patents for products designed while at General Electric and Brunswick/Zebco and currently serves on the Advisory Council for The University of Tulsa’s Mechanical Engineering Department.
