Non-Member, Institutional, Library, and Company Multisite License Terms
Under the terms of an ASME subscription, each subscriber is entitled to receive a print journal and online access to the internet version.
Under the terms of the ASME Multisite License, institutions, companies, and consortia with a print/online subscription may purchase additional internet-only subscriptions to the same journal for $300 for each subscription to each site.
The multisite license terms are as follows:
- Each licensee must have a single manager that signs agreements, issues purchase orders, receives invoices, arranges payment, and handles routine business dealings. ASME will issue invoices and receive payment from only one agent for each license.
- If a licensee currently maintains a print/online subscription to a journal, the licensee can order additional internet-only subscriptions to that journal for $300 for each subscription to each site.
- A licensee must maintain all current print/online subscriptions to a journal to order additional internet-only subscriptions to that journal. It cannot cancel print/online subscriptions and replace them with internet-only subscriptions.
- Each licensee must sign the Agreement Form for an ASME Multisite License, which specifies the terms, the number of print/online subscriptions, the number of internet-only subscriptions, and the IP address ranges, which are subject to verification by ASME.

Multi-Site License: Fact Sheet
Under the terms of the ASME Multi-Site License for corporations or institutions with a single administration, your library can save thousands of dollars and increase your access to the ASME Transactions Journals and Applied Mechanics Reviews. When you order an ASME Discount Subscription Package, your company and institution...
- pays full rate for the primary site
- receives a 75% discount on online-only access for all secondary sites.
If you begin an online subscription in the middle of the year, you receive charges prorated by month. For print subscriptions started mid-year, you receive back volumes and pay full rate. The ASME Multi-Site License is not available to library consortia and other buying groups whose members have separate administrations.
Example
For online-only access to the 2007 volumes of the 21 ASME Transactions Journals, a corporation with six sites pays $10,991.25 for twelve-month access. The primary site pays an annual rate of $4,885.00 and each of the five secondary sites pays an annual rate of $1,221.25
For online-only access only to the 2007 volumes of the 21 ASME Transactions Journals and Applied Mechanics Reviews, this corporation pays $11,794.50 for twelve-month access. The primary site pays an annual rate of $5,242.00 and each of the five secondary sites pays an annual rate of $1,310.50.
If the corporation subscribes to a print/online package for the main site and online-only access for the secondary sites, it receives back volumes of the print journal and pays the twelve-month rate for the main site, no matter when the subscription begins. However, secondary sites pay prorated rates if the subscription does not cover the complete year.
