Inspire Innovation

ASME K-12 volunteers work at a grassroots level to inform and influence students, educators, counselors, parents and legislators about the diversity and scope of the engineering profession. Our volunteers constantly seek to inspire young people to become engineers and pursue careers in technology-based fields.

Through numerous resources (featuring everything from career guidance to hands-on activities, original programs on DVD, interactive training modules and workshops, and even giveaways) ASME’s outreach efforts clarify who engineers really are and what they do. ASME K-12 programs tell the stories of real engineers who use their skills, knowledge and creativity to create solutions that make the world a better place.

K-12 Programs
ASME's Pre-College activities and resources focus on:

  • Demonstrating the creative aspects of engineering.
  • Promoting the collaborative nature of engineering.
  • Communicating how engineering makes a difference.

Join us as we transform the way engineering is presented to the K-12 community. Our resources have been developed in collaboration with the broader engineering community to show how exciting and rewarding a career in engineering can be. Our resources and experts are available to help you create the most effective K-12 outreach initiative to meet your needs.
