Committee on Diversity and Inclusion Strategy

Overview
The Center for Diversity and Inclusion Strategy, under the direction of the Public Affairs and Outreach Council, shall provide insight and advice into promoting diversity within ASME and mechanical engineering.

Vision
To be the essential partner and resource for advising ASME leadership to realize diversity maturity and inclusion throughout the Society and the engineering profession.

Mission
To advocate, analyze, educate, and advise ASME leadership to advance diversity maturity and inclusion through keen focus on:

  • Communicating... the excitement of engineering to a diversity of people and cultures (Inclusive Excellence)
  • Advancing, disseminating and applying engineering knowledge globally (Valuing Global Diversity)
  • Developing solutions that improve the quality of life and that benefit humankind (Engineer Life-Cycle)
