Does your ASME Unit (Affinity Group, Division, Section, or Student Section) have a webpage or social networking site? If so, we want to let others know about it for you. And if your unit is on Facebook, LinkedIn, or Twitter we think it would be a great idea to get you linked to us on those sites. And back here on ASME.ORG, we think it is a good idea to have a URL to all of your online destinations.
Interested in starting an online community for your K&C unit? Follow the instructions below:

FACEBOOK
Become a fan of ASME on Facebook. If you have started a Facebook fan page or group, please send your link to asmecommunities@asme.org so we can link to you!

LINKEDIN
The ASME group on LinkedIn is a place to network with other peers and professionals in various mechanical engineering related industries. Job listings are also posted*.
In order to create an ASME sub-group, you must be a member of the ASME group on LinkedIn. Once you are a member, please send the following information to asmecommunities@asme.org and your sub-group will be set up for you.
- Group title
- Group summary (brief description)
- Group description (full description)
- Website address (perhaps your unit's website if you have one)
- Email and name for someone who may need to act as a manager of the group
- Indicate whether you want members to be approved or if anyone can join your group (if they are already a member of the ASME group)
If you already have an ASME-related group on LinkedIn, and wish to become a sub-group of the ASME group, you must create a new group per the instructions above. (LinkedIn does not have a mechanism to move existing groups to another group.)
Alternatively, you can send your link to asmecommunities@asme.org and we can promote your group on the ASME group discussion board.
* Please note ASME does not endorse any companies or products that may be posted in the jobs or discussion areas, unless otherwise stated.

ASME PEERLINK
ASME's PeerLink is an online interaction tool designed with engineers' needs in mind with links to helpful resources, solutions and ideas from peers. It's much more than discussion boards, because there are many tools integrated into this site to help ASME PeerLink members connect with each other. Access to the ASME PeerLink site is open to both members and non-members of ASME.
To create a new community, do the following:
- Create an account on PeerLink.
- Log in to your PeerLink account.
- From the top navigation bar, click on Suggest a Community.
- Fill in the information on the next page to suggest your community.
The request will be sent to ASME staff via email for approval. You will receive a confirmation email once the new community has been approved and created.
SERVER SPACE FOR ASME UNITS
ASME.ORG will host your society-related website at no charge, if you are affiliated with a Section, Student Section or Affinity Group of ASME. Learn how to request server space for your unit.
DO YOU HAVE OTHER ONLINE SITES?
Email asmecommunities@asme.org so we can keep our Affinity Group, Division, Section, and Student Section Directories up to date and let all members know about the great work your unit is doing on behalf of ASME.
