Paul Rode, business development director, Solutions Division, Building Efficiency Unit, Johnson Controls, talks about applying innovative techniques to develop retrofit strategies that yield deep energy savings.

Rode has been with Johnson Controls for 15 years and recently led the Johnson Controls team responsible for the energy efficiency retrofit of the Empire State Building. Prior to joining Johnson Controls, Rode worked for EUA Cogenex as an engineer.

Rode is professional engineer with a B.E. degree in chemical engineering. He has contributed to multiple trade publications, has helped shape governmental energy policy, and has written two books on the subject of driving energy savings from buildings.
