ASME Power 2009 Set for July

NEW YORK, Jan. 20, 2009 – ASME Power 2009, a conference for technical professionals involved in the design and operation of power plants, will be held July 21-23, at the Hyatt Regency in Albuquerque, N.M.

ASME is the sponsor of the conference, which will cover advanced energy technologies, alternative fuels, steam generators, emissions, power plant maintenance, heat exchangers, and nuclear energy, among other subjects.

Multidisciplinary and global in format, ASME Power 2009 will bring together speakers from different international power markets to assess new technologies and research methodologies, as well as best practices in plant operations and maintenance.

Founded in 1880 as the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, ASME is a not-for-profit professional organization promoting the art, science and practice of mechanical and multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences.  ASME develops codes and standards that enhance public safety, and provides lifelong learning and technical exchange opportunities benefiting the engineering and technology community.
