ASME International Gas Turbine Institute Launches Webinar Series

ATLANTA, Dec. 19, 2006 — The International Gas Turbine Institute (IGTI) of ASME will conduct the first of more than 20 webinars in 2007 beginning January 3 at 11 a.m. (EST). The one-hour program, “Global Energy Conversion: Role of Gas Turbines” will offer a state of the industry primer for the global gas turbine community.

Hosted by Lee Langston, Ph.D., professor emeritus at the University of Connecticut's Department of Mechanical Engineering, “Global Energy Conversion: Role of Gas Turbines,” will discuss how in less than 70 years gas turbine technology has evolved to become a dominate power source for aircraft propulsion and global electric power generation.

IGTI is currently offering special introductory rates to webinar participants. ASME members can participate for only $99 per webinar session.  Non-members may participate for $149 per webinar.  For more information or to register for “Global Energy Conversion: Role of Gas Turbines,” visit https://www.gotomeeting.com/register/907571526.
