ASME to Hold Bioprocess Technology Seminars in Dublin, Ireland

NEW YORK, March 4, 2009 – ASME will hold the 3rd Annual Bioprocess Technology Seminars and Exhibition – Europe, May 25-27, 2009, in Dublin, Ireland.

The Crowne Plaza is the venue for the conference, which will focus on best practices in the design and operation of biopharmaceutical manufacturing facilities.

Including six seminars featuring presentations from leading technical experts and authorities in the field, the conference will cover equipment design, sterilization and clean utilities, new trends in bioreactor design, purification process development, and single-use technologies, among other topics.

Some presentations will reference case studies, allowing conference attendees the opportunity to gain insights into practical real-world technology applications.  The seminars also will explore ways in which the biopharmaceutical manufacturing industry is complying with federal safety regulations.

The 3rd Annual Bioprocess Technology Seminars and Exhibition – Europe also will feature tabletop exhibits of products and services and a keynote presentation.

The keynote speaker is Niall O’Meara, aseptic manufacturing leader at Pfizer Ireland Pharmaceuticals.  Mr. Niall will discuss Pfizer’s risk assessment strategies in the development of aseptic products.
