NEW YORK, Jan. 25, 2007 – Leading manufacturers, suppliers and researchers in the global gas turbine industry will participate in the exposition at the 2007 ASME Turbo Expo.
Turbo Expo – Gas Turbine Technical Congress and Exposition, including a technical program, will be held May 14-17, at the Palais des Congres in Montreal, Ontario, Canada.
The exposition will showcase the products and services of engine manufacturers, software developers, publishing companies, and other organizations involved in research and experimentation for gas turbines.
More than 100 companies and other organizations will participate in the exposition, including Pratt & Whitney, Rolls-Royce, CD-adapco, and Ansys. Among the highlights of the exposition, National Research Council Canada will display the Bell 412HP helicopter incorporating advanced systems.
In addition to the exposition, the 2007 Turbo Expo also will feature a technical conference, workshops, and keynote session.
The International Gas Turbine Institute (IGTI) of ASME sponsors the annual Turbo Expo as a discussion forum for engineers, research scientists, academics, regulatory officials, and business executives. IGTI, based in Atlanta, Ga., is dedicated to supporting the international exchange of information on the design, manufacture, operation, and maintenance of gas turbines and related equipment.
Founded in 1880 as the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, ASME is a not-for-profit professional organization promoting the art, science and practice of mechanical and multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences. ASME develops codes and standards that enhance public safety, and provides lifelong learning and technical exchange opportunities benefiting the engineering and technology community.
