NEW YORK, Apr. 2, 2008 – More than 100 global manufacturers, service suppliers and research organizations will participate in the exposition at ASME Turbo Expo 2008 in Berlin, Germany.
To date, 114 organizations have reserved space in the exposition, which will be held in conjunction with a technical program and other activities comprising the Turbo Expo 2008 – Gas Turbine Technical Congress and Exposition set for June 9-13, at the Estrel Berlin Hotel and Convention Center.
More than 50 percent of the exhibitors at Turbo Expo 2008 will represent firms in the Canadian and European markets, including 15 companies based in Germany. Currently, 44 organizations from the U.S. market will participate in the exposition, which showcases the products and services of engine manufacturers, software developers, and other organizations involved in research and experimentation for gas turbines.
Exhibitors at ASME Turbo Expo 2008 will include the engine manufacturers Pratt & Whitney, GE, and Rolls-Royce. Other exhibitors will include the software developers CD-adapco and Ansys, along with publishers, research organizations, and makers of diagnostics and control equipment.
ASME Turbo Expo 2008 will bring together the global technology community for five days of information exchange on gas turbines.
The International Gas Turbine Institute (IGTI) of ASME sponsors the annual Turbo Expo as a discussion forum for engineers, research scientists, academics, regulatory officials, and business executives. IGTI is dedicated to supporting the international exchange and development of information to improve the design, application, manufacture, operation and maintenance, and environmental impact of all types of gas turbines, turbomachinery and related equipment.
