NEW YORK, May 19, 2009 -- ASME has announced the 4th Frontiers in Biomedical Devices Conference and Exhibition, examining the technology that is driving innovation in the biomedical industry. The conference is set for June 8-9, 2009, at the Hyatt Regency Irvine in Irvine, Calif.
Including technical presentations and poster sessions, the two-day information exchange will cover new advances in hip arthroscopy, cardiovascular stents and valves, tissue implantation, and health monitoring and diagnostics.
In addition, the conference will feature an exhibition of leading-edge products and services used in the biomedical industry. Exhibitors include Altair, Acumed, Epinex Diagnostics, and other firms that are making strong contributions to human health and rehabilitation.
The ASME Emerging Technologies Institute is sponsor of the 4th Frontiers in Biomedical Devices Conference and Exhibition, which will attract leading experts in bioengineering and clinical research. The conference will include two plenary speakers: Stuart Green of the University of California, Irvine, will discuss “Advances in Medical Technology – Lessons from the Burgess Shale” and Kalyanam Shivkumar of UCLA will speak on “New Advances in Cardiac Arrhythmia.”
Keynote speaker Robert Grant of Allergan Medical will present “Future Trends in Facial Aesthetics” at the luncheon on June 8.
