2007 Fall Student Leadership Seminars

Libby Schulte
SSC Student Representative-District F

Every year each ASME District holds one or two Student Leadership Seminars (SLSs).  The main purpose of these seminars is to gain valuable leadership skills that will help each ASME student section succeed.  All student members, especially officers and committee chairs, are encouraged to attend these seminars to build their knowledge of what resources and benefits ASME has to offer you and your student section.

The focus this year will be on unifying the student sections within each district, as well as increasing interaction among student sections and ASME related industries.  The student section committee is setting up Student District Operating Boards (SDOBs) which will organize and plan events like these.  Most of this planning will happen at the SLSs, and any interested students who wish to help or take on a regional roll are encouraged to come participate!
