Government Relations Programs
Engineers have an important role to play in public policy making by providing government decision-makers with the technical information to make informed decisions on increasingly complex issues. ASME's government relations activities prepare and enable the Society's members to provide all levels of government with this essential information and guidance.

Engineering and the Congress
The Engineering and the Congress program serves to inform Congressional staff about engineering, science and technology aspects of current public policy issues.

ASME Federal Government Fellowship Program
The program enables selected ASME members to devote a year working in government providing engineering and technical advice to policy makers in Congress, federal agencies, and the White House.

Washington Internships for Students of Engineering (WISE)
ASME sponsors an undergraduate ASME student member with at least two years of engineering education for the Washington Internships for Students of Engineering (WISE) program.

Washington Visitation Program
The Washington Visitation Program provides an opportunity for ASME members to actively participate in the Society's government relations activities.
